Antonio Marín Montero was born in Granada in 1933. In 1957 he entered the workshop of Pereste Master Art, and was in charge of Recaredo Veredas, who discovered that he had an excellent ability to chisel. In 1959 he began working in the "Cuesta de Gomerez" workshop under the advice of Eduardo Ferrer's father. Many years later, he established his own studio in the "Cuesta del Caidero" in Granada, where he continued making guitars with his nephews José Marín Plazuelo and José González López, who were always at the side of their uncle and teacher.
